A Tap On The Shoulder

The enemy tapped on my shoulder

and asked if I wanted to play.

I boldly told him no be gone

then went about my day.

The enemy came again,

a little more subtle this time,

but I recognized that it was him

and quickly guarded my mind.

The next time he came

I was quite unaware

that we had been chatting

but he had pulled up a chair.

The enemy came, tapped again

and the problem was suddenly so clear;

I had around and said what to him

thereby giving him my ear!
